Disney Store Designer Dolls

If your a big fan of the disney princesses then you're probably already aware of the newest Disney Store Craze. These Designer Princess Dolls. They've been releasing 1 every Monday since last month. The store's get a very limited number of them and if you happen to get one congrats. I found out about these last weekend. I am in no way a doll collector...but Ariel is the main one I feel the need to have. Just look at her! She's stunning! And would have a happy place on my desk.



Because of demand and the accidental overselling of these dolls, the Disney store has decided to release all the remaining dolls (Pocahontas, Jasmine, Rapunzel, and Aurora) on October 17, 2011. They sell for $60 retail which is a significant difference than the $400 something Ariel is currently going for on eBay. *sigh* A friend of mine happened to get one when they were at the Disney store. *sooo jealous* Check out this Flickr photo stream if you want to see all the dolls.

I know where I'll be the morning of the 17th. Claiming myself a Rapunzel and probably an Aurora for my mom. *fingers crossed* I have a feeling someone might get violent to acquire one of these dream dolls.

Back from MegaCon!

I've been super busy this past week! Commissions and Crafting, along with prepping for MegaCon. It's been a very very busy week!

Mega was a bit disappointing. Usually I find something super amazing that I just have to have but not the case this year. Last year I bought this AMAZING 5' vinyl display piece from Greg Horn. This year I was hoping to get some sketchbooks from J-Scott Campbell but he was so busy and exhausted that he took off early. :(

Anyway! I completed my Rocket Costume! Due to unforeseen circumstances I ended up waiting until the night before to finish it. I have to say, use an applique. I would have been so much better off if I'd of done that first. I tried fabric paint, fabric spray paint, regular spray paint, but nothing works on black cotton. Lesson learned.

Also! I met the most AMAZING Rapunzel cosplayer! Her dress is so detailed! She is exactly what I would expect a cast member at Disney to look like. And did I mention her hair! OMG Perfect! She even was accompanied by Flynn Rider. How suiting since Tangled comes out Tomorrow!! :D :D :D



Oh yeah! And I did finally receive my RavenClaw scarf back in the mail! :)

Disney Store called earlier and they got 3 more Rapunzel Dolls for sale! Since I put my name on a hopeful waiting list, one of those has my name on it! :D Wheeee! Excited! And believe me, even that photo doesn't do her justice.

I found out she's number 5 in the limited edition dolls. Here's the ones that came before her. Princess Tiana, Snow White, Belle, and Talking Buzz and Woody.

Disney's Tangled

I am a Disney girl at heart and I must say Tangled was an absolutely charming movie. Rapunzel would definitely be my new favorite if I were still a kid. Browsing the Disney store I came across this Limited Edition Deluxe Rapunzel Doll. You can only pre-order her for $99.50.



I'm not one for dolls but this one was beautifully crafted. So much crazy detail! They've only made 5000 worldwide so she's been sold out for a while. I still wanted to post it though, since its such a stunning piece.
