Owl Swap!

I've got so many swaps to share! My most recent swap was an owl themed swap over on Craftster. Here are the goodies I made for my partner Cassey! Her favorite colors are teals and greens so I went with those dominant colors. I'm really happy with how everything turned out :)

I received my swap package in the mail this past weekend. Here are the wonderful items Cassey made for me. Firstly, a really nice 8-bit owl tissue cover. It's super cute :3

Next she sent me some owl trinkets. The black one is hand carved and painted!

Some deliciously cute owl art based on my wists! I love it! The color scheme is right up my alley. :D

Lastly, she sent me some Star Wars Extras!!

These incredible pendants are also hand carved and painted! Holey Moley Cassey! Your craftsmanship is incredible!! I can't wait to wear one of these with my Jedi Barbie Costume! XD Cassey also sells more Geek-chic charms and necklaces over on her Etsy! Check them out here!

May Birthday Swap

I participated in a May Birthday Swap over on Craftster. Now that May (and my birthday) are over I wanted to share all the goodies I received. Firstly, I received this wonderful package from RedMenace.

The country yarn is one of my FAVORITES to knit with, gummies are always a delicious treat, and the Panda Sleep Mask is strait off my wists!! I love it! It's even in my color of choice!

The details are so delightfully cute. :D I love that the eyes are closed. When I received this I immediately ran to the closest mirror to see how it looked on me. *facepalm* That obviously didn't work. But a photo works just as well.

Secondly, hautedogclothing sent me these wonderful tile coasters. I love them! They're so bright and cheerful! And they have owls on them! :3

Last but not least, Jaywesome sent me this dotted tree painting! Its got Autumn colors which is my favorite time of year! (Ironic because the leaves don't change in Florida) And she sent me Haribo's which are my favorite kind of gummies!

Thank you fellow Craftsters for making the May Birthday Swap one of my favorites to date.

Received! OTT HP Swap!

I received my package from Rose yesterday! Firstly, I received a letter from a local animal shelter saying that they found a wounded owl who was oddly carrying a package addressed to me. She said the owl is in good care and hopes that the box finds me. Also how surprised she was that an owl would be delivering a package. Hah! Muggles...

A mysterious trunk? I'm intrigued. . .

Oh Luna! What have you done now!? A letter from Xenophilius Lovegood stated that poor Luna had shrunk herself. He needed me to watch over her until he can find a way to reverse the spell.

My Partner put so much creativity into my swap package. Even though I had a hard time with the size restrictions for this swap I really enjoyed crafting for it. And! The gallery is looking amazing!

OTT HP Swap!

It's narrowing down the time for everyone to find out what their partners have concocted in the One Tiny Thing Harry Potter Swap over on Craftster. Since my partner received yesterday, I wanted to share my newest Amigurumi.

A tiny Hedgwig! :D She sits 2.5" high and is super photogenic! I'm really pleased with how well she turned out. I'm so glad my partner likes her. I will be receiving my swap package from her on Monday!

Swap Out!

These little guys will be on their way to Canada tomorrow! I'm swapping 1 full set of my amigurumi jellyfish for one of Dahlia's amazing Tardis Quilts! She put together an 'Invite your Partner RD 17' Swap over on Craftster. I'm so happy she agree'd to swap with me! I even sent her an added bonus! I spied through her Wists and noticed her love of Cardinals. I quickly, at the last minute, decided to crochet her one. :) I used this pattern on Ravelry and made a few additions. I think he's rather cute. :)

I'm hosting!

I'm hosting my first swap over on Craftster! :D Excited! Here's the link if you'd like to check it out. Possibly join.

Wonder what a Wists is?? Here's the website. It's basically a site that groups your favorite items that you see online. Its your online wish list! Hah! I bet thats how they decided on the name Wists! It helps your swap partners figure out what you like. Helps ensure a happy swap package. :)

Happy Swapping!

Doctor Who Craft Swap!

I have exactly 1 week left before I have to mail out my swap package. I badly want to post pictures of my completed projects, but I don't want to risk spoilers. So it'll have to wait. So far I have 2 completed projects, 2 more in process, and one more I'm debating about. I have some scrapped mess-ups so they'll be going through some stress tests. lol See the Craftster Doctor Who Swap 5 gallery so far. :)

Scarf Swap!

I participated in a Scarf Swap over on Craftster, I sent out this scarf a few weeks ago. I received my scarf in the mail yesterday and behold! I asked for a knit scarf since I couldn't knit at the time. Laney did a fantastic job! I would never have attempted a sideways garder stitch myself. The colors complement my wardrobe pretty well. :)

Doctor Who!

I'm participating in the Doctor Who Round 5 swap over on Craftster! The swap just started so I have 5+ weeks of crafting time. Doctor who has been my latest obsession and there's been much Doctor activity over on craftster lately.

Anywho, I also participated in the Doctor Who Round 4 swap. Here's the lovely package I sent out.
The Adipose was crocheted, the Tardis keychain was a decorated glass tile pendant, and the 9th Doctor poster was digitally illustrated by me. I was super inspired by Ameba2k's AMAZING 11 and Amy posters. I absolutely loved the style chosen. It was perfect, I couldn't help myself...I'm really looking forward to round 5. I have so many ideas for crafts I'm going to make!

Heres some other amazing things from round 4! Check out the full gallery here!

Owl Swap on Swap-Bot

For an Owl swap over on Swap-Bot.com. I made everything but the magnets! Owl is crocheted and the Cowboy Bebop cards were digitally illustrated by me and then printed. These were sent to Australia and the receiver was very thrilled.

My friend Elise and I joined swap-bot with the upmost excitement. But we've both come to find that we put WAY more effort into our swaps sent out than the ones we've received. I received my owl-swap in the mail only to find that it had been delivered completely opened and most of its contents were lost. I cannot believe the mail carrier delivered an opened package. I blame my partner for re-using an already re-used bubble mailer and not securing it properly. What do I do in a situation like this? Leave her bad feedback? I notified her of what happened, but I'm not sure she'll send again. I've also had a few partners not leave any feedback or answer any PMs. Elise had a woman who was using an alias with an undeliverable address. For you craft swappers out there, the way swap-bot works is, the partner you send to is not the partner you receive from. This makes things a bit less personal. They say to have a well filled out profile, but your partner doesn't actually have to look at it and thus you get sent items you'll never use or even like. So I'm a bit turned off from swap-bot at the moment. I found its a bit of an older crowd anyway. I'll be sticking to my geek themed swaps over on craftster. Forum systems and themed swaps are good. Everyone ends up happy. :)
